The stages of treatment
The figure below summarizes the main stages of treatment that will be required when treating humans:
- Detection of the tumor;
- Intratumor administration of magnetosomes;
- Imaging to verify that magnetosomes are in the tumor.
Several sessions of application of an alternating magnetic field to heat magnetosomes in the tumor and thus induce antitumor activity.
